About

Curated, Not Comprehensive
This is the shortlist. I write about the destinations and experiences that genuinely moved me or that I know will move you. That means saying no to a lot of things so that what remains is actually worth your attention. The internet is infinite. I’m not.

The Middle Ground

My travel isn’t about extremes. I want comfort without overpaying for luxury. I want authentic experiences without sacrificing basic quality.
In other words, I travel like you travel—balancing the desire for comfort with wanting to experience a place authentically. Not luxury tourism. Not budget backpacking. Just… real travel.

Real life experience
I didn’t start this website and then go traveling. It’s the opposite. I spent eight years traveling first—before any of this even existed. Those years filled up my notebooks and shaped my taste. If I write about a place, it’s because I genuinely think it’s worth going. That’s the whole point.

Transparency
Right now, there are no sponsorships, no paid placements, nothing influencing what I recommend. It’s just me and my genuine opinions. If that ever changes—if a brand or hotel or restaurant wants to work with me—it would only happen if I actually love what they do. And you’d know about it immediately; those recommendations would be clearly labeled. In the meantime, if this site has been helpful, I’m grateful if you buy me a coffee.

What you will find here

Food & Culinary Experiences
I eat my way through every destination I visit. These aren’t the tourist-trap restaurants with the big signs—these are the places where locals actually eat. Markets where you can taste a place. Local food that changes your understanding of what’s possible. The kind of meals you think about years later.

Attractions & Landmarks

Sure, you should probably see the Eiffel Tower. But don’t you also want to know what’s genuinely moving versus what’s just famous? I write about what I actually found to be worth my time, the things that stayed with me. I hope my experience will save you time and frustrations from the overhyped spots.

Experiences & Activities
Travel becomes real when you do things, not just see things. I’ve collected experiences that actually connect you to a place and its people—hiking with locals, dance classes, conversations in small towns, moments that make you feel alive.

Destination Primers

Before you go anywhere, you need the practical stuff: where to go, what to pack, how much things cost, how to stay safe, what the weather’s actually like. I keep it straightforward so you can travel confidently.

Let’s Go

Pick a destination. Read a primer. Check out a food guide. See if this feels like the kind of travel that suits your style.

And if you want to tell me about a place you loved or get in touch about something, I’d love to hear from you.

The world’s a beautiful place. Let’s explore it together.
